Little White Lies is born
A little bit of graphic design porn. God, we love this stuff. Gimme more work in progress flicks – it really shows what’s involved – coffee and creativity – nice. Super job Little White Lies.

..and whilst we’re on the bike theme (and love Bristol reason no. 2)…
The lovely Cube cinema in Bristol put on the most beautiful biking flick we’ve have ever seen. Shot, cut and produced to perfection. It was a one night only affair, but well worth tracking it down on the big screen. It’s sick.

We love Bristol – reason no. 1
Britain’s first uphill dual bike race! BMX vs mountain bike vs road bike vs fixies etc etc. The format of the Red Bull Hill Chasers event couldn’t have been simpler – two riders at a time went head to head with the winner going through to the next round of the knockout competition. Run over a 200m stretch of steep hill (the lung burning Park St), it was like a cycling drag race. Rather chilly, but bloody good fun. Especially when photographers play chicken with the riders.

One for the future – the movie, not the plastic.

Save in what you believe in…
Sustainable banking pioneer and all round super client, Triodos Bank, have had their new site live for a while now, but we only just watched the full length (only five minutes long) movie. Shot by our design and direction buddies, BDH, it’s a bank movie minus the cheese and big banking Windsor knots.

Requiem for Detroit – as good as documentaries get
Requiem for Detroit, the highly acclaimed BBC documentary, is a brilliant film that takes a look at Detroit over the past 100 years of growth and decline. Logan X would be the ultimate tour guide…

End of the road for Peter ‘Bullit’ Yates
A blu inc hero, British filmmaker Peter Yates, who sent Steve McQueen burning through the streets of San Francisco as Bullit in a Ford Mustang, has died at the age of 81. A very sad loss. The car chase is worth stopping work for a few minutes and marveling at the direction, editing and Mcqueen at his macho best (and we aren’t really into cars or macho men).

Sustainable restaurants – Arthur Potts Dawson gives it some…
An interesting look at the possibility of sustainable restaurants form Arthur. Some practical ideas, and some ideas that the average greasy spoon might raise an eyebrow to.

Man urinating at Morston
Tom Ellis, one of our favourite artist’s, is about to open his next solo exhibition. He paints and copies paintings from books, then defaces them with marker pen, drawing beards, glasses and cigarettes like some adolescent Caravaggio. Recent solo exhibitions include Kunsthalle Winterthur, Winterthur, Switzerland, 2010; We Came Here To Get Laid, Not to Critique Dutch Culture, Wilfried Lentz, Rotterdam, 2009; Get Me a Show In China, Space, London, 2009; Wszystko/Everything, Czarna Gallery, Warsaw, 2008. Tom Ellis is currently showing at the Saatchi Gallery as part of Newspeak: British Art Now. Keep an eye out for Tom – Saatchi bought one of his pieces, so that means that everyone will want one!
