The Big Conversation
We have been profiled on the ‘Growing Business – the Big Conversation’ campaign! Their words: ‘Growing Business – the Big Conversation’ is a campaign which has been launched to encourage businesses in the South West to grow. It aims to inspire companies by profiling successful high-growth entrepreneurs and offering practical advice and guidance on key aspects of business growth and development. This campaign is about conversation – we want to hear your views, your questions and your experiences. To get involved post a comment on this blog, follow us on Twitter or visit our LinkedIn group. If you’d like to be featured in the campaign, which is being run in association with newspapers across the region, and online, fill in our Big Conversation Q&A questionnaire which can be found here.

JLS ‘chops their onions’
Wii and JLS get rather excited over onion chopping. We saw this only once on TV and that seemed to be it – no more airing for JLS fast wrist action. Shame.

A Corner that will be forever (South West) England
The mince pies lay the foundation and The Oxford Corner provides the main construction work. The best fish and chips in the South West as far as we are concerned. Whilst this has absolutely nothing to do with graphic design, the Oxford Corner’s tucker is the fuel of champions – and we are all champions in our own way; back of the net. Although the embroidery piece donated to the Oxford Corner (by some very regular diners) sums up the feelings of its clientele in a very typographic and poetic manner.

We couldn’t believe our mince pies!
After running the Weston Christmas Cracker 10k last Sunday, there wasn’t the usual bananas, energy bar and drink in the finishers pack – there were 3000 mince pies. Not all for us, but it is possible to carry a stack of ten with out any speed wobbles. West Country race food at its best. We are just starting to feel a bit Christmasy. Nice.
